This is only my second time to Fire Island and Cherry's. I got to say, I love this location. Great music, awesome bartenders and drinks are strong and worth the price. Best bar in Fire Island so far.
So I wanted to let you know how I felt and was making sure this was correct policy?
Love this place! Great staff! However, I do wish, as a business on the water and a steward of the Great South Bay, they would reconsider the release of latex balloons. Marine life can be very negatively impacted. It's important that our businesses that rely on the marine environment take care of it.

Oh Cherry's, what can I say that hasn't already been said or that the giant photo of drag queens and frozen drinks inside doesn't say on its own? This is of course a Grove staple and puts on the best shows. I recommend Dining with the Divas and check out the nightly lineups during the summer for what is one of the only two entertainment options on the island. While drinks are totally overpriced, so is everything and it's par for the big gay course. The Peanut Butter Cup is by far the most delicious and decadent drink--have it towards the end of your stay so you won't care about the 1,000 calories settling onto your summer beach bod.
Yesterday 9/25/17 I made a quick visit to the Grove via my boat after fishing. I stopped in and had a few delicious cocktails but then was charged $60 just to dock for the hour. None of which was good for Any credit for drinks or food. I do ferry over from time to -to time but Truthfully I felt a bit taken advantage of as that make the cost for stopping by to give business to all the vendors additionally expensive. I really was questioning the charge being it be a Monday in September. Understandably weekends and prime season is fair to charge in my opinion.
